Greco joined the Renal Studies Group at the Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) in 2023.
Using urine biomarker analysis in the EMPA-KIDNEY and UK HARP III trials, his work seeks to better understand the determinants of chronic kidney progression. His project is supported by the departmental studentship, and he is supervised by Professor Will Herrington, Professor Natalie Staplin, Dr Parminder Judge, and Dr Rebecca Sardell.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Greco studied medicine and trained in internal medicine at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital. He was awarded MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford, with the support of a Philippine government scholarship. He then worked in infectious disease epidemiological research in the San Lazaro Hospital – Nagasaki University Collaborative Research Office.
Greco is deeply passionate about science communication and global health equity. Outside of research and medicine, he enjoys diving into new culinary adventures.
